Transforming Public Parks: Dallas’ New Pollinator Garden

John Barnard Park-City of Dallas

Thank you to Polk County Soil and Water Conservation and the City of Dallas for letting me work on this amazing project. This pollinator garden was my first public park project, and I can’t wait to watch it grow. From the initial ideas to the final design, all the way to the installation, this was a very fun and fulfilling project that truly reflects the dedication to sustainability and biodiversity. I also have to mention a big thank you to Jessica Wright, who is the owner of Earth and Spirit Landscaping, and was a co-partner on this venture. Her invaluable design knowledge and meticulous attention to detail made a significant difference, and I couldn’t have accomplished this without her expertise! As spring approaches, I am eager to update the website with progress photos and share the vibrant transformations as everything starts to leaf out and flower. This initiative not only enhances the beauty of our community but also plays a crucial role in supporting local pollinators and promoting environmental awareness.
